Usage

Slotted Spring Ping.(also called Roll Pins) are made of spring steel, rolled from strip and having a slot along their length and one or two chamfers to permit insertion.
 

They are mainly used for connecting two or more parts of an assembly and are suitable for withstanding shear loads.
 

They can also be used for bolted joints where it is desired to avoid relative movement of the bolted parts without applying a high prestress.
